Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?

No. DocVist is a paid product, and plans start at $4.99 per month.

Do my recipients need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can open the document. If you set a password, they only need that password.

Which file types can I share?

PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP are fully supported. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be uploaded and previewed when practical. Video and ZIP files are not supported yet.

What happens when I replace a file?

The link you already shared keeps working and points to the new file. Pro and Premium plans also keep previous versions for a limited time.

Can people still copy a document if downloads are disabled?

Disabling downloads removes the Download button and direct file access, but anything shown on a screen can be captured by a determined person, for example with a screenshot. Use it to control sharing, not as a guarantee against copying.

What do I learn about the people who open my link?

You see views, time spent, pages viewed, browser and device type, and approximate country. Visitor IP addresses are never shown to you.

How do I manage my subscription?

Payments are handled by Stripe. You can update your payment method and manage your plan from your account at any time.
